All of the water for the house is to be "harvested" from the roof and passed through a system of various filters before use.  The greywater (water from sinks/baths but not toilets) is then send to an organic purifying tank before being reused to provide water for the toilets.
All the waste water then is treated first by septic tank then a series of reedbeds.
As a working croft, we have also persuaded a neighbour uphill from us to "donate" their roofwater, via a series of ponds, for irrigation.
